Barbara Ann Corcoran

 Barbara Ann Corcoran was a speaker, investor, and businesswoman from the United American. The Corcoran Group is a New York City-based real estate brokerage. In 2001, the company was transferred to NRT at $66 million. Corcoran quit the firm shortly thereafter. Corcoran is one of ABC’s original Shark Tank investors. To date, she has been in each season of Shark Tank. In February 2020 Corcoran had signed 53 deals, with the largest being a $350,000 deal that included 40 percent of Coverplay. Corcoran was born in Edgewater (New Jersey) as the second child of ten from a working-class Irish Catholic family. Florence Corcoran's mother was a homemaker. Edwin W. Corcoran Jr. her father was a multi-talented employee throughout Corcoran's early years. The family relied on food deliveries from a friendly local grocer for free food. Corcoran recalls her father as someone who would drink occasionally and did not treat her mother with respect. Corcoran struggled in school, and she later found out that she had dyslexia. Corcoran attended a local Catholic elementary school and started high school in St. Cecilia High School in Englewood. After failing several classes during her freshman year, Corcoran transferred to Leonia High School and received a grade of D.
