Catherine Anne
Catherine Anne O'Hara OOC was born on March 4, 1954. O'Hara has won a number of awards, including the Genie Award, a Golden Globe Award and two Screen Actors Guild Awards. She also received two Primetime Emmy Awards and six Canadian Screen Awards. In 2018, O'Hara was appointed an Officer of Canada. She was also awarded the Governor General’s Performing Arts Lifetime Artistic Achievement Medal in 2020. O'Hara first made her appearance as an actress in 1974 when she was in The Second City, an improv comedy group in Toronto. She was part of the main cast in the sitcom Coming Up Rosie (1975-1978) alongside John Candy and Dan Aykroyd. O'Hara joined Candy in the sketch comedy show Second City Television (1976-1984). She received the attention of critics both for her writing abilities and acting, and was awarded the Primetime Emmy Award, 1981 for Outstanding Writing for a Variety Series. O'Hara was a member of the new Second City artistic Advisory Board, which was led by Stephen Colbert. Other members of the board included Dwayne Colbert. Tina Fey. Keegan–Michael Key.
